Socle is a product of Otter Lake B.V., Amsterdam. This page has the terms of service, the privacy policy and the imprint. Last updated 1 November 2026.

Terms of service

These terms apply when you use Socle at socle.cc or pay for it.

The service

Socle is a kanban board for teams. You sign in with a link that we send to your email address. Your boards are stored on our servers, so you can open them from any browser.

Trial and payment

Socle is free for 14 days from your first board, with no card. After that, it costs €45 or $50 per year per team. The board owner pays, and one payment covers every board that person owns and every member on them. Prices include VAT where VAT applies. Payments run through Stripe and renew each year.

You can cancel at any time under Manage billing. The board stays fully usable until the end of the year you paid for. After that, and after a trial without payment, the board is read-only: you can see your cards but not change them.

Consumers in the EU usually have a 14-day right of withdrawal. If you withdraw within 14 days of a payment, email hello@otterlake.co and we refund that payment.

Your content

You keep all rights to your cards and boards. Everyone you invite to a board can see and change its cards. Do not put content on Socle that is illegal or that infringes someone else's rights.

Changes

We can change the service and these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the last change.

Liability

We provide the service as it is. We are not liable for indirect damage or lost profit. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Law

Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the court in Amsterdam, unless consumer law gives you another court.

Privacy policy

Otter Lake B.V. is the controller for the personal data that socle.cc processes. Contact: hello@otterlake.co.

What we collect

• Account: your email address, and the name and initials you use on a board.
• Boards: cards, swimlanes, links, settings and the list of team members and invites.
• Change log: each time a card is created, moved, assigned, edited or archived, we record who did it and when. We use it to improve Socle. Other users do not see it.
• Payment: Stripe collects your email address and payment details. We read the customer and subscription status from Stripe. We never see your card details.
• Email: we send sign-in links to your email address through Resend.

Cookies

socle.cc sets cookies only to keep you signed in. They are needed for the service you ask for. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

Why

We process this data to deliver the service you sign up for (contract), to keep it secure and improve it (legitimate interest), and to meet tax and bookkeeping law (legal obligation). We do not sell data and we do not run advertising.

Who processes data for us

• Supabase: the database and sign-in, hosted in Ireland. Supabase Inc. is a US company; transfers are covered by its data processing agreement and standard contractual clauses.
• Vercel: hosting. Vercel Inc. is a US company; transfers are covered by its data processing agreement and standard contractual clauses.
• Stripe: payments. Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland.
• Resend: sign-in emails, sent from Ireland.

How long we keep data

Payment records are kept for 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires. Boards and their change log are kept until the owner asks us to delete them. Your account is kept until you ask us to delete it.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correct it, delete it or object to its processing. Email hello@otterlake.co. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
